REMAP is a UK national charity working through local panels of volunteers which helps people with disabilities achieve independence and a better quality of life by designing and tailor-making equipment for people’s individual needs. Each year, thousands of people with physical limitations are helped by REMAP volunteers in a myriad of ways and thanks to REMAP, many are able to perform day-to-day tasks such as eating, drinking and managing their personal care independently, moving around more easily both in their homes and outside, working and looking after their families.
We deliver all this through our local panels of skilled volunteers including engineers, carpenters and technicians who design, make and modify equipment. All of our work is carried out and checked by experts. All our services are provided free of charge to the person who we help.

REMAP – How we help.
If we think we can help, we will then design and make a piece of equipment specifically for that individual, in a way that meets their needs. We will sometimes modify existing equipment to make it more suitable.
We only design and make equipment in this way if there is nothing commercially available that would do the job.

What we do…. ..
We transform the lives of the people we help.……………………………………………………..
We design and make equipment to enable disabled people to:
- Live more independent lives.
- Manage their own personal care.
- Enjoy sport or hobbies.
Our work is carried out and checked by experts
- engineers, carpenters, technicians and occupational therapists.
And is all provided free of charge!
People with sometimes severe physical limitations are helped by Remap volunteers in a thousand ways. Thanks to Remap, many more of them can perform day-to-day tasks, eat, drink and manage their personal care independently, move around more easily both in their homes and outside and look after their families. They can continue to work and earn money for longer than would otherwise have been possible. They can go to the shops, bring their shopping home and prepare and cook meals. They can go on enjoying much-loved hobbies that they feared were lost to them
Thank you Remap
